informative). In this spec, the test is performed twice at each gear, once for
the positive Frequency Offset (+2000 ppm) and once for the negative
Frequency Offset (-2000 ppm).
Three separate common-mode amplitude cases are tested. First, a
nominal amplitude of 180mV, second the minimum TX value of 80mV and
third, the maximum Tx value of 260mV. These compliance values can be
modified in
Expert Mode
with the Common-Mode Voltage Levels
parameter.
For each given jitter frequency the BER is measured and compared with
the Target BER. Up to Gear 3 the Target BER is 10
-10
and for Gear 4, the
Target BER is 10
-12
.
If the 'Perform Jitter Limit Test' property is set to true, the value of SJ is
increased until errors are found. The procedure performs a binary search
for finding the maximum tolerated value and 'Jitter Increase Accuracy'
defines the size of the window.
