Calibrations

Eye Opening Calibration with Jitter/ Eye Opening SigTest Cal

This calibration is available for all hardware configurations.

Figure 73

Eye Opening Calibration with Jitter

Purpose

The purpose of this calibration is to fine-tune the horizontal jitter

component and the vertical amplitude to reach a target eye mask.

According to the specification this eye mask must have a width of 0.52UI,

which corresponds to a BER of 1E-6, and an amplitude of 43mV.

This calibration is run once at each selected HS data rate (see

Figure 73

For spec 4.1, this calibration is only mandatory for B-series (for A-series,

the procedure is shown in the test tree as informative).
