Portuguese Bridge
Stairs lead up to the Portuguese Bridge which has a Wing Station with Bow Thruster and
Engine controls, Port and Starboard boarding doors, several storage compartments, and a
transom door leading to the Bow area.
Flybridge/Boat Deck
Stairs lead up to the Flybridge which has an L shaped settee and table Port side with
ample storage underneath and two Pompanette® helm chairs with foot rests. The wheel is
stainless steel destroyer-type. The Air Horn is Kahlenberg with automatic fog-horn
whistle. There are two 20 lb. capacity propane cylinders with gas detection kit in a
Trident locker on the Starboard side. The Boat Deck extends all the way to the Stern. The
Boat Deck railings are welded stainless steel. Mast and Rigging is aluminum, USA
manufactured, painted and hinged, with masthead, steaming and spreader lights, plus
shrouds. The Nautical Structures® Davit has a 1,200 lb. (544.32 kg) lift capacity.
The large Flybridge storage compartment houses the NAV./COM. Battery bank, the
transformer, and 24V DC to 12V DC equalizer.
Engine instruments and controls
All engine instruments and controls are furnished for the Pilothouse and the essential
engine controls are duplicated for the Flybridge. In general, each steering position is
equipped with controls for clutch and throttle, engine start and stop controls, and all
engine gauges. Bow Thruster controls and Stabilizer controls are provided at both
stations. A flush mount 6” Danforth® compass is also provided in the Pilothouse and on
the Flybridge. The Wing Station is equipped with Engine controls and Bow Thruster
controls.
Bow
The Bow has welded stainless steel bow railings, Bowsprit and Pulpit. The Bowsprit can
easily handle two substantial anchors. On the Starboard side there are two inset 4 ½”
super high density polyethylene anchor rollers able to handle a large Plow or CQR
anchor. On the Port side there is a stainless steel anchor roller mount which extends over
the end of the pulpit, with double super high density polyethylene anchor rollers which
can accommodate a large Plow type anchor. On the Starboard side at the base of the Bow
Pulpit there is a fresh water washdown spigot on the inboard side and a Raw Water
Washdown spigot on the outboard side. The Windlass is Maxwell® 3500, hydraulic with
dual chain wheel and foot controls. The Windlass foot controls are on the Starboard side.
There is a plug-in for the Windlass remote controls on the Port side. The Capstan also has
a foot control located on the Port side. A watertight Freeman® round hinged hatch leads
to the Anchor Locker. There are two Shore Power Connections, and a TV/Cable and
phone connection.
There is ample storage below the Portuguese bridge seats. There is an additional fresh
water spigot below the Portuguese bridge seat on the Starboard side.
