Navigation Lights
Located on the Port side of the steering station in the Pilothouse, is the Aqua Signal Panel
for the navigation lights. Each of the following lights can be controlled individually from
this panel:

Port running light
•
Starboard running light
•
Mast Head light
•
Stern light
•
Anchor light
•
Spare
24V DC NAV./COM. Electronics Panel
The 24V DC NAV/COM Electronics Panel is located in the Pilothouse, Starboard of the
steering station, and gets its power source based on the selector switch on the left side of
the panel, labeled ‘
24V DC PANEL SOURCE SELECTOR’ which is used to select
the power source from either the NAV./COM. Batteries or the ship’s service (HOUSE)
batteries.
At the top of this panel, are two displays, one labeled ‘
DC AMPS’ and one labeled ‘ DC
VOLTS ’. Below these displays are two selector switches.
The selector switch on the right, labeled
’24 VOLT METER SOURCE SELECTOR’,
is used to select which power source (NAV./COM. Or HOUSE) is feeding the amp and
volt displays. Normally, if the 24V DC Panel Source Selector switch is positioned to
NAV./COM. BAT, the 24 Volt Meter Source Selector switch would be set to the ‘
1 ’
position showing the ampere consumption and voltage condition of the NAV./COM.
Battery bank. But you could, for example, check the amp consumption and voltage
condition of the HOUSE batteries by selecting ‘
2 ’ on the 24 Volt Meter Source Selector
switch while the 24V DC Panel Source Selector switch is still set to ‘ NAV/COM BAT ’.
