input signal level to be measured is greater than +25 dBm, use a

Attenuator
to prevent damage when you directly connect the signal to the instrument or
connect the signal from the coupling port of a directional coupler.

Procedure
1.
Connect an Omni/directional RF antenna to the
Spectrum Analyzer RF In
port of the JD780A
series.
2.
Connect a GPS antenna to the
GPS
port of the JD780A series.
