Motion-Control Circuit Breakers
Each motion-control amplifier has a matching circuit breaker, located behind an
access cover on the electronics enclosure on the front of the workstation.
Figure 66: Location of the Motion-Control Circuit Breakers
If a stage fails to move, check the matching breaker. If a breaker has tripped, first try
to find and fix the problem, and then reset the breaker.
To inspect and reset a motion-control circuit breaker:
1. Turn off the affected motor using the IPG Photonics software.
2. Remove the circuit-breaker access cover by loosening the two thumbscrews.
3. Inspect the appropriate breaker, as shown in the Motion Control table below.
4. If the breaker is tripped, fix the problem and reset the breaker.
If the breaker trips again after being reset, there may be a motor amplification
problem. Please contact IPG Photonics Customer Service.
Digital I/O
Some systems have electronic components for monitoring digital inputs and
controlling digital outputs—digital I/O. Digital I/O configuration varies from system
to system.
Note
Refer to the Motion Control
table below for circuit
breaker assignments.
