Wi-Fi Connection
Installing a Wi-Fi port directly in the workstation to be serviced will provide
optimum clarity and visibility to the remote service engineer. Install a USB Wi-If
adapter (refer to Figure 112) in one of the workstation’s USB ports and follow the
instruction to install necessary driver.
This enables the workstation to connect with any Wi-Fi network. This could be the
facility’s internal Wi-Fi network or a completely independent Hotspot wireless, which
can be activated through a mobile phone that has an unlimited data mobile phone
plan.

If neither internal Wi-Fi networks nor wired Ethernet connections are not available,
IPG Photonics recommends the use of a mobile phone “hotspot” feature.
Note: This usually requires an unlimited data plan.
The following setup example is based on an Apple iPhone but should apply to
other smart phones as well:
1. Enable Cellular Data as illustrated below using the iPhone’s Setting Menu.
