PURPOSE
CE MARKING
The purpose of this manual is to provide the user with all recommended
procedure descriptions and full technical details for the successful installation
and commissioning of HYFIRE's HFW-W2W-01 Intelligent Wireless Translator
Module on to a compatible Fire Control Panel.
Procedures described in this manual include appropriate warnings and cautions
to guide the user towards adopting safe and methodical work practices during
the installation and commissioning phases.
This equipment is CE Marked to show that it conforms to the requirements of the
following European Community Directives:
•
Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive 89/336/EEC (and the amending
Directives 92/31/EEC, 93/68/EEC)
•
Low Voltage Directive 73/23/EEC (and the amending Directive 93/68/EEC)
SYSTEM DESIGN AND PLANNING
It is assumed that the system, of which the HFW-W2W-01 is a part, has been designed by a
competent fire alarm system designer in accordance with the requirements of EN54 Part 14 and any
other local codes of practice that are applicable.
PERSONNEL
Installation and commissioning of this product must be carried out only by suitably qualified electrical
engineers. Engineers must have attended a HYFIRE training course for the Hybrid Wireless
Translator Module and associated devices.
GENERAL
The HFW-W2W-01 Translator Module is designed to be used with a Fire Control Panel employing
" VEGA PROTOCOL" and with the HYFIRE range of wireless Detectors, Manual Call Points, Input
Modules, Output Modules, Audio and Audio-Visual devices.

The HFW-W2W-01 Translator Module supports the full range of HYFIRE field devices and
