16. If required, provide the needed input when the following events occur:

•

The wizard attempts to log in to the Virtual Connect manager using the Administrator
password that you supplied earlier. If the attempt fails, you can retry the attempt or re-enter
the password. (Retry is helpful only if a timeout caused the VC password check to fail.)

•

When the wizard can log in to the VC manager successfully, it verifies the VC firmware
and asks you to update it, if necessary.

•

When the firmware is at the correct level, the wizard verifies that the VC is in a default
state.

•

The wizard configures the VC. The setup process first powers down blades 2-16, and
then powers down blade 1.

On blade 1, the power remains off for approximately 3

minutes.

Blade 1 then reboots twice.

17. Log in to blade1 again after the Linux login prompt appears.

The wizard makes the following checks:

•

Pings the VC management IP address

•

Verifies the

hpspAdmin

account created earlier

NOTE:

If a check fails, take the corrective actions described on the GUI.
