5 Discovering and configuring HP StoreAll servers and their

storage

This chapter applies only to 8xxx, 93xx, and 9730 storage systems.

The

Server and Storage Expansion Wizard

allows you to add servers or storage to an existing

configuration.

NOTE:

You do not need to use the

Server and Storage Expansion Wizard

if you have run the

Getting Started Wizard

and followed the full installation process. You use the

Server and Storage

Expansion Wizard

to add servers or storage to your configuration after the initial installation has

been completed.

Before you begin the

Server and Storage Expansion Wizard

Perform a cabling verification (8800 and 9730 systems only). See

“Cabling verification (8800

Verify LUNs and component firmware. See

NOTE:

Adding enclosures to an HP StoreAll 8800 Storage system must be done offline.
