12. If the applicable management console is not listed on the

Join Cluster

screen, select

Cancel

to

display the

Management Console IP

screen. Enter the IP address of the management console,

and select

Ok

.

The wizard registers and configures a passive management console (Fusion Manager) on the
blade.

The installation is now complete. You may now, optionally, log in to the HP StoreAll Management
Console to create file systems or complete other configuration tasks.

Troubleshooting HP StoreAll 9730 Storage system installation issues

This sections provides solutions to common HP StoreAll installation issues on the 9730 Storage
system.

Install software cannot ping the OA

This condition can occur if OA2 becomes the Active OA.

The following conditions cause the installation software to be unable to ping the OA:

•

The VC is up-linked from X1 rather than X6 (be sure that X6 is used on 9730 systems)

•

A gateway is not defined for OA or blade.

•

No L3 route exists from the VC to the OA.

•

A duplicate IP address is used for blade or OA.

•

The VC is already configured, but blade 1 does not have a VC profile assigned.

Configure the OA as follows to resolve this condition:
