Table 16 Field entry requirements for Add Bonded Interface screen
(continued)
Description
Field name
multiple network installation, this is the address of the blade on the management
network.
Enter the netmask IP address for the bond device being added. The netmask (a
32-bit mask) divides an IP address into subnets and specifies the available network
Netmask
hosts. This field is auto-filled with
255.255.0.0
, but the netmask entry may
need to be modified, based on your specific network subnets.
Enter the VLAN tag ID. VLAN capabilities provide hardware support for running
multiple logical networks over the same physical networking hardware. HP StoreAll
VLAN Tag ID
supports the ability to associate a VLAN tag with an FSN interface. For more
information, see the HP StoreAll OS Networking Best Practices Guide.
The bond is configured with (and can operate with) default values or you can
use this field to set bond options (bond mode, mimon, and updelay mode). For
Bond Options
example, mode=1; mimon=100, and updelay=100. Use also any of the following
parameters:
•
arp_interval
•
arp_ip_target
•
lacp_rate
•
max_bonds
•
primary
•
use_carrier
•
xmit_hash_policy
Identify whether the bond is part of a cluster or is a user or management-related
bond device.
Network Role
Select which Ethernet port is trunked to the bond device being created.
Slave Devices
Select
Ok
to save entries and continue to the next step.
13. If you opted to complete advanced networking configurations prior to
Step 10
,
Advanced
Network Configuration
screens may automatically display. If this occurs, go back and complete
the
Network Configuration
screen or screens, as applicable to your storage platform, before
proceeding to the next step.
For instructions on completing
Network Configuration
screens, see instructions in
Step 8
for
HP StoreAll 9300/9320 Storage systems or
Step 9.d
for HP StoreAll 8200/8800 Storage
systems.
14. On the
Set Default Gateway
screen, enter the default gateway IP address and then select
Ok
.
