Spooler FASTP Network Print Processes Manual — 427528-006

FASTPTCP Event Messages

proc-name

is the process name of the FASTPTCP process.

device-name

is the Spooler device name.

hex-data

is a hexadecimal display of some of the data received from the printer.

Cause.

The FASTPTCP process has been configured with DRAIN=YES, and

DRAINLOG=YES received input data from the printer.

Effect.

This message is informational only.

Recovery.

If no other errors occur, no action is needed. To eliminate this message, set

DRAINLOG=NO. For more information, see the description of message number

proc-name

is the process name of the FASTPTCP process.

device-name

is the Spooler device name.

err-num

is a file-system error code or other internal FASTPTCP error code.

Cause.

The FASTPTCP process could not allocate a workspace for MBCS translation.

Effect.

The Spooler job is requeued, and the Spooler device is placed offline.

Recovery.

If the error persists, contact your service provider as described in

Troubleshooting and Reporting Problems

on page 8-1.
