DELETE
kcon-file,device
deletes a device from a FASTKCON file.
kcon-file
specifies an existing FASTKCON file. If the specified FASTKCON file is
$SYSTEM.SYSTEM.FASTKCON, an asterisk (*) can be used in place of
the complete file name.
device
specifies the name of a device within the FASTKCON file that is to be
deleted from the specified FASTKCON file.
Note that the only impact of the DELETE command on printer operation is that
the specified device is deleted.
UPDATE
cnfg-file,kcon-file
updates an existing FASTKCON file using DEVICE, DEFAULT, and POLLTYPE
information in the specified FASTCNFG file.
cnfg-file
specifies the FASTCNFG file, which must be an EDIT file (file type 101), to
be used as input when updating the FASTKCON file. If the specified
FASTCNFG file is $SYSTEM.SYSTEM.FASTCNFG, an asterisk (*) can be
used in place of the complete file name.
kcon-file
specifies the name of an existing FASTKCON file whose information will be
updated based on DEVICE and DEFAULT information in
cnfg-file
. If
the specified FASTKCON file is $SYSTEM.SYSTEM.FASTKCON, an
asterisk (*) can be used in place of the complete file name.
Device information in the FASTKCON file will be updated according to the
following rules:
If a device specified in
cnfg-file
already exists in
kcon-file
, the
existing device record in
kcon-file
is erased and replaced by the
information in
cnfg-file
.
If a device specified in
cnfg-file
does not already exist in
kcon-
file
, it is added to
kcon-file
.
If a device already exists in
