REFRIGERANT PIPING AND REFRIGERANT CHARGE

- In case of gas piping connection from bottom, connect

the field-supplied pipe to the flange pipe (Factory-
supplied)

(Piping connection

from Front or Rear)

(Piping connection

from Bottom)

Remove the flange and the gasket attached to the unit

before shipping, and attach the new gasket (factory-
supplied) before connecting the pipe flange to the gas valve.

NOTE:

-

Attach the gasket after soldering the pipes.

-

Do not place the gasket between flanges.

-

Connect the pipe flange to the gas valve after
soldering the field-supplied bend pipe and the flange
pipe.

-

Check to ensure that no pressure increase is observed
one hour after vacuum pumping completion.

13.5.5.

 

INSTALLING DRYER IN LIQUID LINE

The refrigeration oil for the G series outdoor units easily
absorbs moisture. Therefore, it is required to perform
sufficient vacuum pumping and to use a dryer in the liquid
line, in order to remove moisture in the field-supplied piping.
The following dryer Kits are selected to keep moisture lower
than 100 ppm when the moisture level is 200 ppm with the
maximum refrigerant charge before installing. If the actual
moisture level is higher than 200 ppm, charge the dryer
several times according to the level
