respectively to the voltage drop on the Rg,
causing the potential at the connection between
R1 and the V.Ω GUARD terminal to be lower
than the potential at the connection between R1
and the Input/Output HI terminal. Furthermore,
there is leakage current flowing through R1
which will affects the measurement accuracy. In
order to eliminate the influence of the voltage
drop of the test leads on the V.Ω Guard terminal,
use the connection method shown in the figure
below to connect the GUARD SENSE port to the
resistor network. The GUARD SENSE port senses
the interface voltage of the V.Ω GUARD terminal
in the resistor network. When the voltage is lower
than the input/output HI terminal voltage, the
V.Ω GUARD terminal voltage will increase until
the voltage sensed by the GUARD SENSE
terminal is equal to the input/output terminal
voltage.
