Auto range lower limits are intended primarily for 
SYST:RCM MULT support.

 

The lower limit for all 

three functions is programmable and must be less 
than or equal to the upper limit. If the lower limit is 
equal to the upper limit, auto ranging is effectively 
disabled. When autoranging is disabled, you can  
manually program the unit for any range below the 
lower limit. NOTE also that the maximum volts 
lower limit depends on the compliance setting.
