ISASSEMBLY

When breaking down the center pin assembly, make sure you mark the

gland assemblies in relation to the center pin post. This will make re-

assembly and re-installation much easier.

To properly perform this operation, you will need a small flat-blade

screwdriver and an O-ring pick. You will also need a block of wood for

driving the pin from the glands with a dead blow hammer.

Remove the 3 bolts from the top cap. Remove top cap and

remove the pin from the glands.

After you have taken the pin from the glands, remove the O-

rings and seals from the glands.

Carefully inspect the low and high pressure seals. Under certain

circumstances, the seals will often tell what caused a failure

or malfunction: problems with the center pin assembly itself

(gouges in seals), or, something as simple as the age of the

machine (seals simply worn out).

Carefully inspect the pin post for signs of uneven wear or any strange

marking in any direction.

Note!

Always wear safety glasses when

using a hammer for either mark-

ing the pin or removing the pin

from the gland.
