XL 5210 HYDRAULIC PRESSURE

SETTING MANUAL

(SUPPLEMENTAL PRESSURE)

Turn hoist up port relief (rear relief) clockwise two turns, do not bottom. Turn hoist section regulator
(under rear end cap) clockwise one and one-half turns.

See Figure 4.

Place gauge (10,000 psi) on test port in inlet tube of front valve bank. Run engine at full RPM and open hoist up
fully. As hoist bottoms let off joystick, then slowly meter the joystick back into full up for the hoist. Main pump
cut-off pressure should read 4,925 - 5,075 psi. Adjust as needed (rear adjustment on top of main pump).

The Main Pump Cutoff Pressure should only be checked if low valve pressures cannot be incresead. Check the
clipper relief settings to be sure they are not the source of the low pressures (see “Clipper Relief Testing and
Adjusting” section). If main pump cutoff pressure is altered, it is necessary to install a new seal cap on the pump
cutoff valve.
