If the same button is pressed again, the system will return to Idle Mode and “Set #” will be
displayed.
To change a temperature setpoint, press the corresponding number to the right of the set button.
A keypad will be displayed. Enter the desired temperature, between –85°C and 225°C, into the
keypad and press Enter. The system will not transition to the new setpoint temperature until the
given button is pressed, unless the new temperature was entered into the active temperature box.

Program Operation
In the Program operating mode (Fig. 43), temperature testing is performed according to
temperature profiles stored in the System Controller. This operating method is less flexible than
the manual method, but requires little, if any, operator interaction once set up. This method is
most commonly used in production applications in which a known temperature profile will be
repeated many times.
Program buttons and their associated functions:
Temp –
Accesses the keypad to set a setpoint temperature between –85
°
C to 225
°
C.
Rate –
Accesses a keypad that allows the user to set the ramp rate between 0 and 999
°
C/min.
Entering "0" value turns off the Ramp feature and the setpoint will be entered as a step change.
Soak -
Accesses a keypad that allows the user to set a hold time between 0 and 999 seconds.
Once the setpoint temperature is reached (± the user defined dead band), the system will control
at that setpoint for the given hold time before moving to the next program step. A value must be
entered into the Soak field for the program to execute the step. If no value is entered, the system
will go back to step one and decrement the cycle counter, or end program run. Typically, 0.1
would be entered to activate a program step if no soak is required.
