The Off button is the preferred means of turning the system off. When activated, it will bring up
the Shutdown Warning Screen (Fig. 11). This screen explains that the shutdown will initiate an
automatic defrost cycle that will remove moisture (ice) from the heat exchanger.
In order to turn OFF the THJ80 properly, it is recommended that the system be in IDLE mode
controlling under the nozzle thermocouple.
If “Yes” is chosen, the Shutdown screen (Fig. 12) displays and the system will defrost until the
temperature rises above 40°C. At this point the unit shuts down, the screen goes blank (but
remains active), and the airflow turns off. Touching the blank screen will bring up the Restart
screen.
If “No” is chosen, the unit will return to the Manual Mode screen.
