Alarm Features
If an alarm state is activated, the Alarm screen (Fig. 38) will automatically be displayed. The
Alarmed states are listed and highlighted in red. Only activated alarms will appear on this screen
and only those alarms that are no longer in alarm state will display their respective “Acknowledge”
buttons. Pressing the respective Acknowledge button will clear the alarm. Once all alarms are
cleared, the system will return to the Manual screen. The Acknowledge button will NOT appear if
the alarm is still present.
A differential pressure switch located in the heat exchanger monitors the pressure at the inlet and
outlet of the heat exchanger. A difference between the inlet and outlet pressures that exceeds a
preset factory limit signifies a blockage in the heat exchanger, usually caused by an accumulation
of ice, and the Defrost Warning screen will automatically appear. This prompt warns the operator
to protect the DUT and initiate the defrost cycle. If no action is taken, the Defrost Warning screen
will appear again in 10 minutes or until the Defrost process is initiated.
