Displacer Shipped Separately
It is necessary to install the displacer on the measuring wire inside NMS5.
Procedure A : Install Displacer prior to Installing NMS5 on Tank

1.
Put NMS5 on the blocks or
a pedestal.
2.
Confirm that there is
enough space under
NMS5.
•
Be careful not to drop NMS.

Remove M6 bolts.
4.
Remove the wire drum
cover and bracket.
5.
Remove the cover, the
wire drum bracket, and
the wire drum.
6.
Remove the tape.
7.
Mount the wire drum, the
wire drum bracket, and
the cover again.
•
Handle the measuring wire
with care.

8.
Rotate the wire drum
clockwise until the
measuring wire ring
appears out side the flange.
9.
Hook the displacer on the
ring of the measuring wire.
10. Secure the displacer to the
measuring wire by using
the securing wire.
11. Install the ground wire of
the displacer (refer to
Appendix "14.3.1
Displacer Installation").
12. Rotate the wire drum
counterclockwise until
measuring wire ring
appears in the calibration
window.
•
Wire drum rotates every
one-fifth revolution.
•
Displacer moves 300mm
each one revolution.

13. Mount NMS5 on the
nozzle of the tank top.
14. Confirm that the displacer
does not touch inside the
nozzle inside.
15. Replace the drum housing
cover.
•
Confirm that the measuring
wire is wrapped
appropriately in the
grooves.
•
If not, rewind the wire
correctly in the grooves.
