Audible alarms can be silenced for two minutes:
NOTE: A new alarm condition during this period will
still be signaled with an audible alarm.

alarms and SpO
2
alarms are disabled after
switching from standby to a ventilation mode. They
are automatically activated after the first correspon-
ding signal has been detected.
Displaying and Setting Alarm Limits
Alarms can be displayed and set from all three basic
screens (standard, data and trend screen) during
operation.
The default alarm limits for the ventilation mode are
activated automatically when changing from standby
to a ventilation mode.
These default alarm limits can be used unchanged or
they can be set individually for a patient (see page 98,
"Setting Default Alarm Limits").
Individual settings are deleted on changing from a
ventilation mode to standby when default alarm limits
are reactivated.
To call up alarm limits:

Press the menu key »alarm limits«.
Display (example):
Measured values and their alarm limits are shown on
the right-hand side.
Waveforms with alarm limits represented by dashed
lines are shown on the left.
WARNING !
The alarm silence button is intended to provide a
way of muting audible alarms while corrective
action is taken. Failure to identify and correct
alarm situations may result in patient injury.
