CS3000

25 UNKNOWN

The software does not recognise the ID of a loop unit.

Cause

Remedy

Loop unit faulty.

Exchange the loop unit.

Wrong software in CS3000.

Exchange the software.

Wrong type of detector has been installed.

Install the correct type of detector.
Restart the system.

BAD LOOP COMM (Abnormal condition)

Bad communication in a loop.

Cause

Remedy

Noisy environment.

Test the loop. Measure the cable
resistance. See

Cable

end of this chapter.

LOOP COMM STOPPED

No communication in a loop.

Cause

Remedy

A loop unit is faulty.

Check and if necessary exchange
the loop unit.

LOOP TRANS. STOPPED

Loop communication stopped.

Cause

Remedy

Loop modem cannot transmit.

Turn off the power, wait for 5
minutes, then restart the system.

Faulty loop unit.

Search for the faulty unit by
interval-halving and replace the
unit.

29 COMMUNICATION

ERROR

A loop unit has sent a wrong checksum.

Cause

Remedy

Two loop units have the same address.

Check the addresses of the units
and set correct adresses.

Loop unit faulty.

Exchange the unit.
