6.2. Alarm Activation
 When an alarm is triggered, SUPER 32-
DT35A will enter the Guard Time Delay
period (see
Command 42 ), the HELP
BUTTON white backlight will illuminate.
 During the Guard Time period,
pressing the
RESET button on
SUPER 32-DT35A, it will cancel the
alarm signal and return to Idle Mode.
 If the Guard Time Delay is set as 00 ,
SUPER 32-DT35A will dial
immediately. (Factory Default)
 The Alarm reporting cannot be cancelled
by pressing the RESET button on SUPER
32-DT35A after the Guard Time Delay
expires.
<NOTE>

If an alarm happens, you can press the
RESET button during the Guard Time
period to cancel this alarm, when HELP
BUTTON white backlight turns off and the
Control Panel stops beeping, it indicates
that an alarm is cancelled for reporting.

After the Control Panel receives the
Handshake signal, user can not press the
Reset button to cancel alarm reporting.

After an alarm is reported succesfully to
one of reporting phone numbers, you are
not allowed to press the Reset button to
cancel alarm reporting.
Guard Time Delay

Guard Time Delay time is a time period
programmed to delay alarm reporting (by
command #42). If a false alarm is raised,
the user can cancel the alarm during this
Guard Time Delay time.

Emergency alarms activated by Smoke
Detectors
(SD), Carbon Monoxide
Detectors (CO) and Water Sensors (WS)
do not have Guard Time Delay and will be
reported immediately. SUPER 32-DT35A
will play voice prompt “Fire Alarm,”
“Carbon Monoxide Alarm,” to inform the
user of the alarm at hand.

During this time period, the Control Panel
will play voice prompt “Calling the Care
Centre” to alert user(s).

Alarm reporting cannot be cancelled
AFTER the Guard Time is elapsed.
<NOTE>

The Guard Time Delay triggered from
a fall detection (of a Fall Sensor) has
its own timer (programmed using
Command 66). The SUPER 32-
DT35A will play voice prompt “A fall
has been detected,” to notify the user;
and “Fall detection has restored,
cancelling help call” voice prompt,
when fall detection has been
cancelled during guard time.
Voice Prompt
 Once Guard Time Delay expires, SUPER
32-DT35A will summon help based on the
programmed reporting method. After
SUPER 32-DT35A dials out, voice prompt
“Calling the Care Center” will be played to
inform you that the call is in progress.
 Voice Prompt “Calling the Care Center”
will be heard in the following situations:
 After SUPER 32-DT35A dials out to
summom help until handshake (for
Digital Reporting Method)
 After SUPER 32-DT35A dials out to
summom help until the call is
answered (for Speech Reporting
Method and Dial Call Reporting).
 When first reporting failed, and
SUPER 32-DT35A retries
 Once reporting succeeds upon hang-up
for Dial Call Repoprting, voice prompt
“Call has ended.” will be played to inform
the user.
Digital Reporting Method
 After the alarm reporting is successfully
received by the Monitoring Center,
SUPER 32-DT35A will then follow the
choice of Command #38, to enter
Follow-
On and/or Call-Back mode:
 If Command #38 is set as 1 , Call-
Back or 2 , Follow-On & Call-Back;
after alarm reporting, it will then wait
