Chapter 3 Maintenance

Cleaning the Printer

Clean the printer periodically to preserve the print quality and prevent issues.

WARNING

• When cleaning the printer, do not use a flammable solvent such as alcohol or thinner.

If it is brought into contact with the electric parts inside the printer, a fire or electric shock could result.

Cleaning the exterior of the printer

To preserve the print quality, periodically clean the exterior of the printer.

CAUTION

• Prior to cleaning the printer, be sure to turn if off and unplug the power cord.

Turn off the printer.

IMPORTANT

• While the Power lamp is lit or blinking, do not remove the power plug from the outlet. A printer failure could

result.

Disconnect the power cord and interface cable.
