Washer Operation

About the MultiFlo FX Wash Step

Minimally, a wash step includes an aspirate step followed by a
dispense step. This is a

wash cycle

. The default definition of a

wash step includes 3 cycles, followed by a final aspiration to
evacuate the wells. It is important to prime the washer manifold
before running a wash. You may also want to include a

Pre-

dispense

or tip prime to correct for evaporation and other minor

fluid loss to normalize the tips.
Overfill washing, which has proven effective for ELISA assays, is
a popular feature: fluid is aspirated simultaneously to dispensing
to prevent spillage by positioning the aspirate tubes at the tops of
the wells.

About the hardware

:

The wash manifolds are identified by the plate types they
support, e.g. 96/384-well manifolds aspirate and dispense
fluid to and from 96-well and 384-well plates. Likewise,
the other manifold options are dedicated to a plate type:
