The separation gel within the capillaries will dry out if the capillaries
are left exposed to the air for more than 15 minutes.

Loading the Buffer Plate and Evaporation Cover

1. Align the notched corner of the Buffer Plate with the alignment line on the Buffer

Plate Holder (Figure 197).

2. Gently push the Buffer Plate towards the front of the instrument and then set the

plate into the transport.
