The end result of this “second level” filtering is to leave only results that you are
certain of and to save you the time of “weeding out” unwanted fragment data later.
Available Exclusion Filters
All of the exclusion filters can be found in the drop-down list box available in the
Name
column of the
Filter Set
area. Once you have selected the name of the filter to
use, you must select an
operator
(u, <, >=, etc.) and a
value
to be applied to
the filter.
Refer to the Online Help for detailed descriptions of the available
exclusion filters and their use.
Summary Area Information
The
Summary
area displays a table that identifies the number of samples that have
been affected by the application of exclusion filters. As the result set is manipulated,
you can view the number of samples that have been excluded from your Study based
upon your filter set parameters.
• The number of results that are
included
in result set within each sample capillary
(A-H) is displayed. As samples are filtered out of the result set by the exclusion
filters, they are moved from this row to the “excluded” row.
• The number of results that have been
excluded
from the result set by the
exclusion filters is displayed.
• The
total
number of all samples, both included and excluded, that are part of the
result set is displayed.
Customizing the Result Set View
The components of the fragment results available in the Result Set View are
user-defined and can be modified through commands available in the right-click
menus. These commands allow you to select specific columns for display in the
fragment results, customize the arrangement of fragment results information and
modify several other parameters of the fragment results.

Column Sort window and other display parameters can be found in the
“Customizing the Fragment Results” section of this manual or in the
Online Help.
