User’s Guide

Only one set of system spectra is stored. This set of system spectra is automatically 
used if one or more of the needed spectra cannot be estimated from the sample data. 

•

The 

Use calculated dye spectra

 option button is the default setting. This 

selection uses the set of dye spectra obtained from the sample data.

•

Select the 

Use system dye spectra

 option button and the 

Dye

 check boxes for 

each dye trace you would like to be generated. With this option selected, no 
attempt will be made to estimate the dye spectra from the sample being run, and 
only the selected system dye spectra will be applied to the data.

•

The system dye spectra can be established when the fragment test sample is run 
during the installation process by viewing the Dye Matrices window for a sample 
result in which spectra for all four dye labels were estimated. This set of dye 
spectra can then be saved by the system by clicking on the 

Save as System Dye 

Spectra

 button.
