Sequence Analysis Procedures

CEQ™ 8000 Genetic Analysis System

Compare Mode

In the Sequence Analysis module, you can select up to 15 results to compare against 
the open result, enabling the comparison of a maximum of 16 sequence results at one 
time.

If you select more than 16 results from the Compare dialog box you will be presented 
with the following warning.

Comparing Sequence Results

1. Launch the Sequence Analysis application.
2. Select 

File | Open

.

3. Click on the 

Sequence Results

 tab and select one sequence result and click 

OK

 

to open the result.

4. Click on the 

Compare

 button on the Sample View toolbar to open the Compare 

dialog box.

5. Select up to fifteen results and click 

OK

.

6. The system will process all fifteen results and the original result, and will display 

the results on the screen. 

The originally opened sequence result will be displayed in the top pane.

7. Enable Compare Synch by selecting 

Tools | Compare Synch

.

Zooming Results

8. Click on the Zoom Mode button and zoom in on a region in the original sequence 

result and the other fifteen results zoom into the same region.

9. Select 

Tools | Unzoom All

 and all sixteen results zoom out so you can view the 

entire result.

Paning Results

10. Click on the Pan Mode button.
11. Pan through the data in the original sequence and all sixteen results will pan 

together.
