Mounting accessories on
the video objective lens
The stereo co-observation tube shown in the illustration below is an example
of accessories that can be mounted on the VOL 442 video objective lens.
The procedure described here can also be used for other accessories
(e.g. camera adapter).
•
Loosen the knurled ring (1) on the video objective lens.
An arrow with the labeling “open” is located on the shaft next to the
knurled ring (1).
•
Remove the dust cover (2) and store it in a safe place.
•
Insert the accessory module (3) in the opening of the
video objective lens. Make sure that the locating blocks fit into the corre-
sponding grooves of the accessories component (3).
•
Screw the knurled ring (1) onto the accessories component (3).
•
Firmly tighten the knurled ring (1).
