Preparing device for sterile use
Asepsis Caps
For sterile operation, your device can be fitted with Asepsis Caps (resterilizable
rubber caps for surgical microscopes). ZEISS provides Asepsis Caps for the
operating buttons and handgrips.
The Asepsis Caps can be resterilized in an autoclave. For more detailed infor-
mation on sterilization, please refer to the enclosed “Preparation of resteriliz-
able products” instructions for use for each Asepsis Set.
For OPMI Lumera i, the following Asepsis Caps are available (see page 163 for
ordering data):

Risk of infection due to contamination!

Only use the device with suitable, sterile accessories.
•
You must clean, disinfect, and sterilize the ZEISS Asepsis Caps before
each use. This also applies to the first use after delivery. These procedures
may only be performed by properly instructed and trained personnel.
