Adding FTP Server Destinations from the MCC
Note:
If you have a USB connection to the printer, you can add FTP server destinations from the
MCC and then upload them to your printer. However, you cannot scan to an FTP server unless you
have a network connection.
To add FTP server destinations from the MCC:
1. Ensure your printer is turned on and connected to your computer via a USB cable.
2. From your computer, click
Start > Programs > Xerox Office Printing > Phaser 6121MFP

3. In the MCC, click the
Connect
icon (first icon in the row).
4. Click the
Download
icon (last icon in the row).
5. In the navigation pane on the left, click the plus (
+
) sign next to
Address Book
to expand it, then
click the plus (
+
) sign next to
Speed Dial
to expand it.
6. In the navigation pane, click
Scan To Server
and then click the plus (
+
) sign next to it to expand it.
7. In the navigation pane, select the next available Scan To Server entry number. In the right pane of
the MCC window, click the
New Contact
button.
8. In the Speed Dial List Scan To Server dialog box, complete the following information as needed:
a. In the Server Description Name field, type a name for the FTP server.
b. In the FTP Server Address field, type the FTP server address.
c. If the destination folder is located in a sub directory of the FTP server’s root folder, type the
name of the subdirectory in the Directory field.
d. Change the color, format, resolution, and other settings as desired or leave the defaults.
9. If you want certain people to receive an automatic email notification each time a scan is sent to
this FTP destination, then in the Email Notification section, do the following:
a. Select the
Enable Notification
check box.
b. Enter email addresses in the fields provided. You can specify up to ten addresses.
10. If your FTP server requires authentication, then in the Authentication Method section, select the
Private
option and enter a user name and password in the corresponding fields.
11. When finished, click
OK
.
