Troubleshooting
Problem
The light ring flashes rapidly with a red
light.
Possible cause Solution
Mains power fault
– Reset the
charger via the
circuit breaker
in the central
electrical
cabinet.
– If the problem
persists,
request a
qualified
electrician to
inspect the wall
socket's ground
circuit.
Problem
The light ring flashes rapidly with a red
light.

The charging
station's
temperature is
too high. The
charger will restart
charging when it
has cooled down.
– Check if
the charging
station is
overheated (hot
to touch).
Pull out the
charging
handle and
allow it to cool
down.
If the problem
persists,
contact your
local Volvo
dealer.
– Switch off
the current to
the charging
station.
– Ask an
electrician to
inspect the
installation.
