C2-4000 Series RGB Scaler Operation Manual

To use the Macro recorder, click on the Red button. From then until you click
the stop button, every image manipulation event is recorded in a scratchpad
memory. When you click the stop button, you’ll be prompted for a file name to
be used to store your activities. Later, when you press the play button, you‘re
taken to a file access screen where you can load the macro and play it back
as required. You have the ability to loop the output if you wish which
becomes a special effect in and of itself.
The Macro recorder is normally used to save a complex set of image
manipulations that would be difficult to perform in real time during a
presentation.
Finally, at the bottom of the screen are slider controls and direction buttons
that allow you to either zoom or shrink an image and move it around on the
screen. And there is a small System window that shows a few of the higher-
level system parameters.
18.10.2 Input Tab:
The “Input” folder contains the image adjustment controls. First, an input is
selected from the drop down list labeled Program Source. Making a selection
here will cause the output of the Scaler to display the selection and will
override any selection made via the buttons in the Application folder.
Once the selection has been made, you can change the signal type or make
adjustments to the image parameters.
The heading directly beneath the drop down list (labeled ‘RGB’ in the example
below) will change depending on the type of signal.
(Again, please note that
this utility is generic software for all C2 Series Scalers and some functions,
such as CV, SV and SDI, will not work since the C2-4100 Scaler is an RGB
device).
In essence, the left hand side of this folder’s screen is used to make
adjustments to the appearance of the image and the top, right portion of the
screen allows the position of the image to be adjusted and the aspect ratio
changed.
If you have the companion Audio Router (and you enabled control of the
audio router via the previously discussed Preferences adjustments) you would
also be able to make audio adjustments from this screen.
The “Input” folder’s screen is shown on the next page.
