17.11 Hours in Use
This is another informational display useful for usage audit purposes as well
as
for specification auditing or determining the need for software version
upgrades.
17.12 Board Temperature in Degrees Centigrade
If the ambient temperature of the internal components becomes excessively
high or low, the unit will shut down to prevent harm. This display shows the
current value of the ambient temperature within the case and can be an early
predictor of a shutdown before the shutdown actually occurs. In a comfortable
room, at sea level, the temperature should be approximately as shown in the
image above.
17.13 Fan Speed
The fan speed is monitored and if it deviates from standard very much, this
will be taken as an indication of insufficient airflow over critical components
and shutdown action will be taken.
If the value is much below 5500 RPM, inspect the installation for blockage of
either the air inputs or outputs and correct the situation immediately before the
shutdown occurs to prevent loss of use during a critical presentation.
17.14 Input Parameters
This informational screen indicates the signal characteristics of the currently
selected input image. Note that the number of lines includes the non-visible
lines as well as the visible lines so it therefore could be misleading to
someone that doesn’t have an understanding of the relationship of video and
synchronizing pulses.
