Installing a hard disk drive in a drive tray

Place the hard disk drive in the drive tray making sure the I/O connector is flush with
the rear of the tray.

Position the drive tray cover on the drive tray, then secure the hard disk drive and the
cover with four screws.

Remove the four screws securing the hard disk drive and disk tray cover to the drive
tray.
CAUTION: To avoid excessive shock to the hard disk drive, work on a soft surface.
For more information on handling your hard disk drive, refer to the manufacturer’s
documentation that came with the drive.
NOTE: If a shield cover is attached to your hard disk drive, you must remove it
before you can install the drive in the drive tray.
NOTE: To position the drive tray cover, insert the front lip of the cover under the front
inside face of the drive tray. Carefully press the rear of the cover into place so that
the side flanges align with the outside of the tray.
