Updating the GigaByte GA-620 Video Driver
The display driver that was automatically detected by the Windows 2000 Server
Installation program is set to VGA mode (640 x 480 resolution). The GigaByte GA-620
video driver supplied on the Magnia 510D Software and Documentation CD-ROM fixes a
conflict between Windows 2000 power management features and the video driver
installed by Windows 2000 Server installation program.
Please update the video driver after you have properly installed Windows 2000 Service
Pack 1 and the VIA 4-IN-1 chipset driver.
Update the GigaByte GA-620 video driver using the following procedures:

Right click the desktop and select "Properties."

Select the Settings tab from the "Display Properties" window. Click
Advanced

Select the Adapter tab on the "Default Monitor and Intel740 Compatible Graphics
Adapter Properties" window.

Click
Properties
for the Intel740 Compatible Graphics Adapter. Select the Driver tab
on the "Intel740 Compatible Graphics Adapter Properties" window.

Update Driver
. When the Update Device Driver Wizard window appears, click
Next
.

When asked "What do you want the wizard to do?" select the radio button "Display a
list of the know drivers for this deivce so that I can choose a specific driver." Click
Next
.

Select "Have Disk" on the "Select a Device Driver" screen.

Click Browse on the "Install From Disk" dialog box. Use the "Locate File" dialog box
to navigate to <CD-ROM>\Software\VIDEO\GigaByte\GA620\W2K.

Select the file named "nv4_disp.inf" and click
Open

OK
on the "Install From Disk" dialog box.

Select NVIDIA Vanta on the "Select a Device Driver" screen of the "Upgrade Device
Driver Wizard." Click
Next

Finish
when the Upgrade Device Driver Wizard informs you that the software
installation is complete.

Close
to return to the "Device Manager" window.
Click
Yes
to restart the server.
