PPKD Overview

The Purged Packed (PPKD) column injector is a packed column injector with a
septum purge. The PPKD standard injector accepts wide-bore capillary columns.
The sample vaporizes in a liner and enters the wide-bore capillary column. The
injector temperature is controllable from 50 °C to 375 °C. Figure 6-1 shows the
PPKD injector.
