Servicing The Unit

Taking Care of the Structure

Inspecting the Unit

Inspect the unit during unit pretrip inspection and every 1,000 operating hours for loose or broken wires 
or hardware, compressor oil leaks, or other physical damage which can affect unit performance and 
require repair or replacement of parts.

Checking the Mounting Bolts

Check and tighten all unit, compressor, and fan motor mounting bolts during pretrip inspections and every 
1,000 operating hours. Unit mounting bolts should be tightened to a torque value of 204 N•m (150 ft-lb). 
Compressor and fan motor mounting bolts should be tightened to a torque value of 20 to 21 N•m (15 to 20 
ft-lb).
