PROCEDURE (CONNECTION)
1.
Slip a hose clamp over each pipe before connection Push the pipe(s) over the radiator
connection(s).
2.
Move the hose clamp(s) into place and tighten. Do not over tighten, as this may damage
the pipes.
3.
Use safety wire and secure the insulation blanket(s) around the pipe(s).
4.
Inspect for security of attachment.
PROCEDURE (DISCONNECTION)
1.
Drain fluid as required.
2.
Remove the safety wire securing the insulation blanket to the pipe, fold the blanket back
to expose the hose clamp and loosen the clamp.
3.
Pull the pipe of the radiator connection.
4.
Blank off coolant pipes if to be unconnected for a substantial period of time, to prevent
drip and entry of foreign material.
