d. CHECK —A stable display can be obtained on both
slopes of the displayed waveform in all positions of the B
COUPLING switch by adjusting the LEV E L controls.
i. CHECK —Repeat steps 14-d and 14-e.
e. Set the B SOURCE switch to CH 2.
j. Set the A SOURCE switch to E X T and the CH 2
V O L T S /D IV switch to 20 m V.
f. C HECK —Repeat steps 15-c and 15-d.
k. Adjust the Medium-Frequency signal generator for a
five-division display of a 50 kilohertz signal.
g. Set the V E R T MODE and B SOURCE switches to
CH 1.
1. C HECK—That a stable display can be obtained, by
adjusting the A LE V E L control, in both slopes of the
displayed waveform in the AC and DC positions of the A
h. C HECK —Repeat steps 15-c and 15-d.

displayed waveform in the AC and DC positions of the B
COUPLING switch.
o. Replace the X 2 BNC attenuator and set the A
SOURCE switch to E X T -r 10.
1. Remove the X 2 BNC attenuator from the External
Trigger test setup.
p. Remove the X I 0 BNC attenuator from the External
Trigger test setup.
q. C HECK—Repeat step 14-1 through 14-n.
m. CHECK —That a stable display can be obtained, by
adjusting the L E V E L controls, in both slopes of the
displayed waveform in the HF REJ and LF REJ positions
of the B COUPLING switch.
r. Replace both the X I 0 and X 2 BNC attenuators to the
External Trigger test setup.
16. Check A Normal Mode Operation
s. Set the A SOURCE switch to NORM.
a. Set the H O R IZ DISPLA Y switch to A, the A
COUPLING switch to AC, both SOURCE switches to
N ORM , and the T R IG MODE switch to A UTO .
15. Check B Triggering
a. Move the External Trigger test signal to the B
External Trigger input. Set the H O R IZ D ISPLAY switch to
B D L Y 'D .
b. Adjust the Medium-Frequency signal generator for a
50 kilohertz signal.
c. Adjust the A LE V E L control for a triggered display.
b. Adjust the Medium-Frequency signal generator to
maintain a 0.3-division display of a 50 kilohertz signal.
c. Rotate the B SLOPE switch between + and —.
d. Switch the T R IG MODE switch to N ORM ,
e. C HECK—C RT for a stable display.
