i. Set the V E R T MODE switch to CH 2.
DC positions of the B COUPLING switch by adjusting the
B LE V E L control.
j. Adjust the CH 2 V O L T S /D IV switch to obtain a 0.3
division display.
d. Set the B SOURCE switch to CH 1.
k. Position the display to the vertical center of the
graticule viewing area.
e. C HECK —Repeat step 44-c.
1. Set the A SOURCE switch to CH 2.
f. Set the V E R T MODE switch to CH 2.
m. CHECK—That a stable display can be obtained on
both slopes of the displayed waveform.
g. C HECK —That a stable display cannot be obtained
with the B SOURCE switch set to CH 1.
43. Check B Trigger DC Balance
h. Set the B SOURCE switch to CH 2.
a. Set the H O R IZ D ISPLA Y switch to B D L Y 'D , the B
LEV E L control to 0, the B SOURCE switch to NORM, and
the B COUPLING switch to DC.
i. C HECK —A stable display can be obtained on both
slopes of the displayed waveform in the AC, LF REJ, and
DC positions of the B COUPLING switch by adjusting the
B LE V E L control.
b. C HECK—That a stable display can be obtained on
both slopes of the displayed waveform in the NORM and
CH 2 positions of the B SOURCE switch.
j. Set the B SOURCE switch to NORM.
c. Set the V E R T MODE switch to CH 1.
k. CHECK —Repeat step 44-i.
d. Adjust the CH 1 V O L T S /D IV switch to obtain a 0.3
division display.
45. Check A Internal 40 Megahertz Triggering
a. Set the H O R IZ D ISPLA Y switch to A.
e. Position the display to the vertical center of the
graticule viewing area.
f. C HECK —That a stable display can be obtained on
both slopes of the displayed waveform in the NORM and

maintain a 0.3 division display of a 40 megahertz signal
throughout this step.
