f. Remove the test signal from the CH 1 input.
j. CHECK —That a single-sweep display (one sweep only)
is presented.
g. CHECK—For no display in the absence of an
adequate trigger signal.
k. Disconnect the test setup.
17. Check Single Sweep Operation
a. Set the A COUPLING switch to AC and the T R IG
MODE switch to A U TO .
b. Reconnect the
test
signal
from the
Medium-
Frequency signal generator to the CH 1 input.
18. Check Trigger View Operation
a. Set the CH 1 AC-GND-DC switch to DC, the CH 1
V O L T S /D IV switch to 10 m V, the V E R T MODE switch to
CH 1, the A COUPLING switch to DC, the A SOURCE
switch to E X T , the A SLOPE switch to +, the A LEVEL
control to 0, and the T R IG MODE switch to A U TO .
c. Adjust the A L E V E L control for a triggered display.
d. Remove the test signal from the CH 1 input.
b. Connect the output of the Standard Amplitude
Calibrator to the A External Trigger input via a 42-inch
50 £2 BNC cable.
e. Press the SIN G L SWP button.
c. Adjust the Standard Amplitude Calibrator for a
200 m V square-wave output.
f. C H E C K -R E A D Y light comes on when SIN G L SWP
button is pressed and remains on until the test signal is
re-applied.
d. Push the T R IG VIEW button and hold it in.
g. Reconnect the test signal to the CH 1 input.
e. CHECK—For 3.2 to 4 .8 divisions of display.
h. CHECK—R EA D Y light is extinguished.
f. Release the T R IG VIE W button.
i. Press the SIN G L SWP button.
g. Disconnect the test setup.
H O R IZ O N T A L SYSTEM CHECK
Equipment Required
1. Standard Amplitude Calibrator (067-0502-01).
4. 42-inch 50 12 BNC cable.
2. Medium-Frequency Constant-Amplitude Signal Genera
tor (Type 191).
5. 50 12 BNC Termination.
3. Time-Mark Generator (Type 2901).
6. Dual Input Coupler.
Control Settings
19. Check Variable Time/Division Range
Preset instrument controls to the settings given under
Preliminary Control Settings except as follows:
a. Connect 5 ms time marks to the CH 1 input from the
Time-Mark Generator (Type 2901) via a 42-inch 50 12 BNC
cable and a 50 12 BNC termination.
