65. Adjust Magnifier Registration
a.
Select
5 ms time
marks
from
the
Time-Mark
Generator.
b. Position the second time marker to the center vertical
graticule line.
c. Release the X I 0 MAG.
d.
CHECK—Second time marker is within 0.4 division of
the center vertical graticule line.
e.
A D JU ST—Magnifier Registration adjustment, R1130
(see Fig. 5-24), to position the second time marker to the
center vertical graticule line.
f.
CAL A ID —Repeat the above procedure until no shift
occurs between the positions of the X I 0 MAG switch.
66. Check V A R T IM E /D IV Range
a.
Set the A T IM E /D IV switch to 2 ms and the H O R IZ
DISPLA Y switch to A.
b.
Select
5 ms time
marks
from
the Time-Mark
Generator.
c.
CHECK—A t least 1 time marker/division can be
obtained by rotating the VA R T IM E /D IV control.
d. CHECK—That the U N C A L light comes on when the
VA R T IM E /D IV control is out of the detent position.
e. Return the VA R T IM E /D IV control to the detent
position.
67. Check Horizontal POSITION Control Range
a.
Set the Horizontal FIN E control to midrange and the
A T IM E /D IV switch to 2 ms.
b. Turn the horizontal POSITION control fully clock
wise.
c. C HECK —Start of sweep is to the right of the center
vertical graticule line.
d. Turn the horizontal POSITION control fully counter
clockwise.
e. C HECK —End of sweep is to the left of the center
vertical graticule line.
f. Rotate the horizontal FIN E control.
g.
C H ECK —That the F IN E control will position the
sweep between one and two divisions.
68. Adjust 10 Microsecond Timing
a. Set the D E L A Y T IM E POSITION dial to 0.00, the B
SOURCE switch to STARTS A FTE R D E L A Y , and both
T IM E /D IV switches to 10 jus.
b. Select
1 0 /is
time marks from the Time-Mark
Generator.
c. CHECK —CRT display for 1 time marker/division,
within 1% from + 2 0 °C to + 3 0 °C; 1 time marker/division,
within 3% from - 1 5°C to + 5 5 °C.
