Equipment Required
1. Standard Amplitude Calibrator (067-0502-01).
4. GR to BNC Female Adapter.
5. 42-inch 50 £2 BNC cable (two).
2. High-Frequency Constant-Amplitude Signal Generator
(067-0532-01).
6. X I 0 BNC Attenuator.
7. 50 12 BNC Termination (two).
3. Medium-Frequency Constant-Amplitude Signal Genera
tor (Type 191).
8. Dual Input Coupler.
Control Settings
Preset instrument controls to the settings given under
Preliminary Control Settings.
f. C HECK —C RT display for minimum trace shift be
tween 2 m V and 5 m V positions of the CH 2 V O L T S /D IV
switch.
1. Check Beam Finder Operation
3. Check Channel 1 and 2 Variable Volt/Division
Balance
a. Position the trace off screen with the CH 1 and
horizontal POSITION controls.
a. Position the trace to the center horizontal line with
the CH 2 POSITION control.
b. Push the BEAM F IN D button and hold it in.
b. Rotate the CH 2 V A R control through its range.
c. CHECK—That the trace is compressed and brought
into the CRT viewing area.
c. CHECK —That the CH 2 U N C A L light comes on when
the VAR control is out of the detent position.
d. Release the BEAM F IN D button.
d. CHECK —CRT display for 2 divisions or less of
vertical trace shift when rotating the CH 2 VAR control
through its range.
2. Check Channel 1 and 2 Gain Switch Balance
e. Set the V E R T MODE switch to CH 1.
a. Set both V O L T S /D IV switches to 2 m V and both
AC-GND-DC switches to GND.
f. Position the trace to the center horizontal line with
the CH 1 POSITION control.
b. Position the trace to the center horizontal line with
the CH 1 POSITION control.
g. Rotate the CH 1 V A R control through its range.
c. CHECK—C RT display for minimum trace shift
between 2 m V and 5 m V positions of the CH 1 V O L T S /
D IV switch.
h. C H ECK —That the CH 1 UNCAL light comes on
when the V A R control is out of the detent position.
d. Set the V E R T MODE switch to CH 2.
e. Position the trace to the center horizontal line with
the CH 2 POSITION control.
i. C HECK —CRT display for 2 divisions or less of vertical
trace shift when rotating the CH 1 VA R control through its
range.
j. Return both V A R controls to the detent position.
