Power supply modules
The Symantec Storage Shelf includes two power supply modules. Each module
contains two fans, one power socket, one LED, and one on/off button.
Symantec Storage Shelf power supply modules
You may need to remove one or both of the power modules if there is failure.
Be sure that the Symantec Storage Shelf has been properly powered off and no programs or
peripherals are running. If you disconnect devices while programs are running, data loss
may occur.
To remove and replace a power supply module:
1.
Power the device down.
2.
Disconnect the device from the main AC power source.
3.
Put on an ESD-preventive wrist strap.
4.
Remove the two screws from the power supply module, one on each side of
the module.
5.
Grasp the metal handle and pull gently to slide the module out of the
chassis.
6.
Place a new power supply module into the chassis.
7.
Slide the new module in until it is firmly seated.
8.
Replace the two screws, one on either side of the module.
