NetBackup 5220 hardware removal and replacement
Remote Management Module 3
12. Remove the plastic air duct.
13. Disconnect the I/O expansion module from the mainboard connector and
the standoffs and remove the module out of the device.
14. Remove the standoffs from the mainboard.
15. Install the I/O expansion module filler panel(s) into the rear panel of the
device.
16.
Replace the air duct.

Re-install the PCI riser assembly into the server system.
18.
Replace the chassis cover , making sure to secure the screw that holds the
cover down.
19.
Replace thc NetBackup 5220 into the rack cabinet.
20.
Replace the AC main power cable and peripherals.
21.
Power up the device through the OS.
Remote Management Module 3
The Remote Management Module 3 is not field-replaceable at this time. Contact
technical support if you have any issues.
RAID Activation Key and RAID Mini-DIMM
The Activation key and mini-DIMM(s) are not field-replaceable at this time.

Installing or Replacing the RAID Battery Backup Unit
(BBU)
The NetBackup 5220 can be used with the Symantec Storage Shelf to expand
storage space. The NetBackup 5220 could also be used by itself.
If the NetBackup 5220 is intended for use with at least one Symantec Storage Shelf,
additional hardware is required. Extra parts include a RAID controller card, Battery
Backup Unit (BBU) for the RAID card and six 4Gb DIMM cards to support the
RAID card and additional storage.
If the NetBackup 5220 and Symantec Storage Shelf are ordered at the same time, the
RAID card and its accessories are installed into the NetBackup 5220 prior to
shipment. In this case, field and service personnel should verify that the RAID card
